Nicola Adams’ profile is packed with history of breaking record through her boxing career.

She officially became Great Britain’s most successful female boxer of all time, becoming the first British boxer to successfully defend their Olympic title for 92 years in the 2016 Olympics.

In 2007, she became the first ever British female boxer to win a medal at European championships. She is also the first woman to win an Olympic boxing Title, as well as, commonwealth title.

Making her the only female boxer in the history of the sport to have won every major title available to her; Olympic, World, European and Commonwealth.

With every punch, hook and jab, breaking down the door of the male psyche in a way that means men are adapting. With her boxing she is encouraging women to be confident and bold in their approach to issues especially in area of objectifying women and female sexuality.

Entering into traditionally masculine fields, Nicola’s domination of the sport suggests, she is not a woman to be pigeon-holed. Life as a female boxer is never literally easy, going through heckling and quacking whenever a hint of feminine sexuality comes up.

Nicola vows to shift men’s attitudes, behaviours and opinions to show not just respect for women but as equals.

She said, “Any time I step into the ring I’m breaking down barriers and making it easier for the sport’s next generation. A path is laid out. They can go out there, perform and do what they do.”

Born in Yorkshire, the 34 year old has achieved tremendous success in her career in such a short time. She was awarded OBE this year and is currently the brand ambassador for E45.
